Entry 11:

10:09 pm Cairo Time

A protestor is saying that they are not letting anyone new in, and as mentioned before some have left to tend to wounded and some have left for their families. But approximately 30, 000 standing strong though very very tired.

The protestors informed me (again I am not allowing myself to watch television lest I be affected) that Egyptian media has announced that the situation is under control. He urges people not to believe that the police has won. On the contrary most areas are dominated by anti-Mubarak protestors except for the area from the middle of the Egyptian Museum up until the Street of Abd El Moneim Riyad where live confrontation is taking place and people are getting wounded, mainly from stone throwing, at the rate of 1 every 5 mins. That means that an area spanning approximately 50 blocks is dominated by protestors chanting for Mubarak to leave.

You can see that everyone is getting tired, but the good news is the “thugs” do not appear to be receiving any back-up for the moment. The anti-Mubarak protestors are planning to spend the night in
Tahrir Square
but there is no telling yet whether they will get to sleep at all tonight.
